Handicapped Systems will offer basic living skills training to adults with severe mental and physical disabilities at New Horizons facility starting this summer. Nine residents are enrolled with potential expansion to Bethphage group homes. An added staff team will support a 6 hour daily program six days a week.

Motorcycle crash victim identified in Cedar Rapids collision
Eric Stodola, 22, of 1519 Yuma Dr NW, was riding a motorcycle when it struck a tree after clipping a southbound vehicle driven by Vivian Ockenfels, 49, near 19th Street NW. Stodola was charged with drunken driving and reckless driving. he remained in Mercy Hospital with a broken leg in stable condition.
