Custody Battle Ends as Mother Wins Boy's Return
In a lengthy Iowa custody hearing, Judge Osmundson ruled the natural mother should regain custody of her three sons from the Rogersons, who had helped her but refused to adopt. He acknowledged past help yet cited Iowa law favoring the mother. The middle section of the story notes the estranged husband’s involvement and the couple’s petitions to terminate parental rights, while the emotional scene outside the courthouse followed as the child was taken by his mother and grandparents.
