Marion residents voted on a design for a pedestrian bridge over Marion Boulevard as part of the CEMAR Trail. The truss arch design won 555 votes of 1,508, with the City Council set to decide on June 21.

Two people shot in Cedar Rapids area incidents
Police said two separate shootings occurred Wednesday in Cedar Rapids. A man was shot on Fifth Avenue SE around 1:20 PM and a woman with a leg wound on Jacelyn Drive SW at 5:50 PM. Both victims were taken to the hospital. injuries not life threatening. Investigations ongoing.
