Roy Alan Denzler Jr. of Marengo Iowa died June 6 2008 at Marengo Memorial Hospital after a brief illness Funeral services are set for 10 30 a m Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with Rev Katie Z Dawson officiating Burial will be at Marengo Cemetery Friends may call 5 to 7 p m Monday at Kloster Funeral Home in Marengo A memorial fund has been established He is survived by his wife Margaret two sons Jeffrey Jerry Denzler and wife Carole of Marengo Stephen and wife Judy of Phoenix a daughter Marilyn Koch of Ames six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents Born March 12 1918 in Marengo Iowa he worked at a canning factory farmed in Washington Township and held positions at Amana Refrigeration and as a rural mail carrier He enjoyed Hawk eye basketball Cubs baseball and hunting fishing and trapping He was a member of Knights of Pythias Online condolences may be extended at www klosterfuneralhome com.
