Money fund yields edge up in latest week
Seven day average yield on money market funds rose to 0.70 percent for the week ended Tuesday from 0.69. The 30 day yield held at 0.70 with the seven day compounded yield also at 0.70. Average fund portfolio maturity remained 52 days as Bankrate noted flat yields for money market accounts and CDs across key tenors. Total money market assets reached 2.178 trillion with taxable retail funds down 2.57 billion and tax exempt assets rising 1.9 billion.
