Coe college trustees approved plans for a 450000 music building to replace Marshall hall and house all music program needs. The two story structure north of Coe auditorium includes offices classrooms 17 practice rooms rehearsal and recital halls studios and library space with air conditioning. Architects Larson and Larson of Reynolds NC designed the chapel and Hickok hall with Brown and Healey as consulting architects. About 274300 funded and the rest to be raised through Growth and Building funds. construction to begin once bids are taken and contracts let.

Three Thefts Reported To Police Last Night
Three thefts were reported Friday night to Cedar Rapids police. Joan Pisney of 1037 Tenth Street SE said a $1 billfold containing 10 cents and papers was stolen from the Me Kinley high school locker room last Tuesday. Mrs. R. C. Woods of Vinton reported her purse disappeared Friday while she watched a movie in Cedar Rapids, containing $10 in cash and $85 in checks. Laverne Martens of 526 Third Street SW reported his car behind 124 Third Street NE had been moved and a camera and insurance papers were taken from the glove compartment.

Omaha Man Dies on Arrival From Heart Attack
A 60-year-old Omaha man named John Klusaw died of a heart attack on arrival at a Cedar Rapids hospital on Friday. Coroner's autopsy confirmed the cause. He was traveling from Omaha toward Racine with two relatives when he fell ill near Cedar Rapids, and died at the hospital. His body was moved to Turner chapel then to Larkin funeral home for services and burial in St. John's cemetery in Omaha.

Three Plead Innocent in Linn County Court
Three defendants pled innocent to criminal charges in Linn County district court on Saturday. Gerald Junior Phillips, 27, of Cedar Rapids, faced a rape accusation for an incident with a 15 year old girl last November 15. James M. Howe, 20, Cedar Rapids, pled innocent to indecent exposure reported by four grade school girls. Barbara C. Rhodes, 20, Cedar Rapids, pled innocent to forgery involving a $15 check dated February 10 at a supermarket. Rhodes had previously pled innocent to larceny on May 20. Orville S. Johnson, 35, Cedar Rapids, was told to enter a plea by Tuesday to a larceny charge regarding a $50 portable Hi-Fi from Smulekoff's where he once worked.
