Normandy D-Day 77th Anniversary Observed Amid Sparse Ceremonies

On June 6 1944 Allied forces landed on Omaha Utah Juno Sword and Gold beaches. The 77th anniversary events in Colleville sur Mer Ver sur Mer honored D day veterans with a new British memorial and remote viewing from Britain. Prince Charles spoke via video link as veterans gathered for memorials at Ver sur Mer and the American Cemetery Colleville sur Mer. The cemetery lists 9380 graves and 1557 names on the Walls of the Missing.
