Police report two May 17 assault with weapon incidents in Cedar Rapids 1400 block of Third Avenue SE. A 53 year old man on a motorcycle and a 16 year old boy on a bicycle were both shot with pellet and BB guns respectively. Whiting was later arrested for eluding and OUI second offense. Police search for shooters in Pioneer Avenue SE after four to five shots fired around 2 a.m. May 30. One shell containing casing found. no injuries. Maurice Turner, 31, of 3321 Pioneer Ave SE, arrested nearby on suspicion of DWLI.
