Cedar Rapids Police Aide Program Sees No Minority Applicants

Airport road signs ease Cedar Rapids access after repairs

Motorists heading to Cedar Rapids airport face fewer delays as Iowa department of transportation crews add signing. Reconstruction of the I 380 interchange began Monday with a $357 000 cost. Ramps and Highway 84 from Highway 218 east to the interchange close until July. I 380 stays open. Use the Highway 30 interchange two miles north then take Highway 218 to reach the airport.

Ten killed as Atlantic coast storm lashes region

Deadly thunderstorms and tornadoes swept the Atlantic coast killing ten and leaving nine missing. A fishing boat, Dixie Lee II, overturned in Chesapeake Bay with four drowns and nine others missing. Power lines fell, a 600 foot pier collapsed, and widespread damage occurred across Tidewater Virginia amid 98 mph winds.

Colton Seeks Re election Safety Commissioner

Colton announced plans for a second two year term as safety commissioner and said a new police chief will be chosen before the November election. Amin in Arab Country Amid Britain Visit Plan
