Des Moines River Flood Floods Eddyville Main Street
An air view by Norman C. Hill shows Eddyville Main Street under flood waters from the Des Moines River. The town was evacuated after the river breached a railway dike, flooding the city. Red Rock, 30 miles southeast, was likewise abandoned as waters moved in.
