The alliance has staged New York City s largest taxi strike and advocates for immigrant drivers amid brutal hours and high medallion prices. Desai a 26 year old Indian born organizer grew up in New Jersey and Rutgers educated aims to unite lease drivers across 90 nations to challenge industry exploitation and demand investigations.
