New concrete boat ramp opens at Pleasant Creek Park
A second concrete boat ramp was opened at Pleasant Creek Recreation Area near Palo. Park officer Randy Edwards notes the ramp lies near the lake's northwest corner and upgrades to the road and a new parking area are underway. Nearby anglers Nick Miller and friends report successful catfishing with worms, including a 9 pound 4 ounce catch on May 24. The group targets a southern hot hole, while wildlife programs and campground relocations around Brushy Creek are described. Remington recalls two lots of .38 Special cartridges from 1980 for replacement due to potential safety issues.
