Marion park road work and new sidewalk enhance pool access
The city crews rocked and oiled the road through Thomas Park to the pool and along First Street, improving access for pedestrians and cyclists. A west Marion Boulevard sidewalk from the Milwaukee underpass to Indian Creek Bridge and a creek underpass trail now provide safer crossing to the park and pool. City Engineer Ralph R. Mills notes the sidewalk was completed earlier this week.
