Marie Schaeffer a 39 year old Iowa woman from Coun cil Bluffs was sentenced in Douglas County for first degree assault and use of a deadly weapon. Judge Burkhard ordered five to eight years for assault and three to six for weapon use to run consecutively totaling 14 years. The Oct 8 incident left Ibrahim Bakhit 50 with injuries including bowel spleen collapsed lung and broken ribs.
