A Kaiser study of 1,583 pregnant women found those using video display terminals more than 20 hours weekly in early pregnancy had nearly twice the miscarriage rate of peers in other office work. The researchers stress correlation, not proof, and call for larger studies.

Des Moines rubber workers voted 398 to 258 to approve a three year contract with Firestone Inc ending a week long strike.
