Rubashkin labor case heads to jury deliberations
Former Agriprocessors executive Sholom Rubashkin faces 67 counts of child labor violations in a Black Hawk County trial. Prosecutors allege 26 minors worked at the Postville plant between 2007 and a May 2008 immigration raid. The defense contends Rubashkin did not hire or employ minors and blamed the HR department. Judge Callahan keeps Rubashkin jailed in Waterloo during deliberations.
