Free parking planned for new Cedar Rapids library
The Cedar Rapids library board approves a plan for free patron parking across from Greene Square Park with 65 on street spaces, a 40 space lot, and a 125 space parkade linked by skywalk. Patrons using library cards may park two hours for free. non patrons pay with cards. The building will be about 95000 square feet with child literacy space and geothermal heating. Construction is set for completion in December 2012.
