Davenport man Ryan Myrick pleaded guilty to child endangerment resulting in death in the shaking death of his 7 week old son Colton. He was sentenced to 50 years in Scott County District Court after prosecutors moved the case from first degree murder to endangerment. The autopsy indicated violent shaking.

Man arrested after alleged gun theft attempt
Terrance Gordon a 41 year old from Waterloo was held on 39000 bond after allegedly trying to take a police officer s gun during his arrest early Friday. Police responded to a fight on Gable Street at 1239 am and Gordon attempted to flee. He was charged with interfering with official acts assault causing injury disorderly conduct carrying weapons disarming a police officer and assault on a peace officer.
