El Kahir Shrine parade set for Cedar Rapids downtown
Shrine paradeSaturday lines up from Cedar Rapids to Davenport with an Arabian horse troop Oriental band Jolly Joker clowns and El Mecca corps to perform. Parade marshals route through Second and Third avenues ending at Sixth street SE. El Kahir drum and bugle corps will lead a Monday two day Shrine festivities ball Friday honoring Justice Warren J. Rees of Anamosa. Several Eastern Iowans and visiting dignitaries attend. many enlisting or biographing later military assignments mentioned.
