Lidice Remembered as Symbol After Nazi Revenge
Surviving Lidice resident Mi loslava Zizkova recalls the village’s destruction in 1942 as Nazis killed 192 men and sent women and children to camps. Heydrich’s assassination prompted the massacre and global protests, while Lidice's memory spurred monuments, a grand memorial, and a cross at the site.
