Costa Rican banker linked to Salt Lake fraud arrested in Georgia
The FBI reports Arnoldo Luis Rodriguez also known as Jimmy Chinchilla was arrested in Dunwoody Georgia on an eight count federal indictment for interstate fraud and wire fraud tied to a banking scheme. A $25 million cash bond was set by U.S. District Judge David Winder, said to be Utah’s largest bail. The case centers on an Antigua based bank hoax used to secure loans with fake assets and advance fees, involving a Salt Lake City businessman who paid $120000 in advance interest for a $1 million loan he never received.
