Carter urged to consider unrestricted imports of hamburger meat
President Carter's advisers discuss options to curb rising beef prices, including possible unrestricted imports of foreign hamburger meat. Agriculture Secretary Bergland outlines three alternatives: maintain current quotas 60 to 90 days, renegotiate with 13 supplying countries, or suspend restrictions.
