Moseley Read Anti Semitic Statement Before Dies Panel

Major General George Van Horn Moseley testified before the Dies Committee delivering a prepared statement denounced as anti Semitic and was stricken from the record. He asserted fear of assassination by red foes and praised Hitler while claiming patriotic groups profit from the movement. The committee later deleted the entire statement and a water bearer was identified as Charles B Hudson of Omaha.

Fatality mars safety campaign at Mason City

At Mason City six hours into the June no accident drive a fatality occurred when Fred Martinson a car foreman for the M and St L railroad was run over after falling from a hand car at 3 30 p m He died en route to a hospital He is survived by a wife and two children and had about 18 years on the railroad.
