Meskwaki code talkers honored in traveling exhibit
A traveling exhibit titled Native Words Native Warriors opens today at the Meskwaki Veterans Convention Center and Casino near Tama. Kalona driver cited after Frytown crash
Kalona man Jesse D. Burkhart, 23, was cited for failing to stop and yield after colliding with a southbound van driven by Shannon Glandon, 29, near Frytown at about 2 45 PM Wednesday. Five people were taken to University Hospitals for treatment and release. Burkhart’s passenger was Karen Burkhart, 42, of Kalona. Glandon’s passengers were Dallas Clubb, 11, and Nile Glandon, 7 months, of Sigourney.
