Backyard Shawn-Fest fuels teen bands in Linn-Mar town
Sophomore Glogovsky built a 320 square foot front yard stage with pallets and a parent run concession stand for Shawn-Fest. Ten bands played five hours to 250 attendees, mostly freshmen and eighth graders, with earlier Santa-Test shows in December. Glogovsky funded the first festival by selling T shirts and $3 admissions, reinvesting $500 for gear and planning annual backyard events.
