Government says service personnel took souvenir photographs of Lindh
Federal officials acknowledged that about 300 unauthorised photographs and videos of John Walker Lindh were taken aboard the USS Peleliu after his capture but were destroyed. Prosecutors said the images were not approved and claimed the troops did not mock Lindh as a trophy captive.
