Pre trial Hearing In Two Indians Murder Case Opens
Security was tight as U S District Court Judge Edward McManus presided over a pre trial hearing for Robideau and Butler of the American Indian Movement accused in the killing of two FBI agents near Pine Ridge South Dakota last June. Rulings ordered the return of some papers while keeping documents posing a security risk withheld. The judge denied several defense motions and ruled on discovery and continuance requests. A Sioux Falls Wounded Knee defense committee accused the grand jury of rampant illegality and claimed the indictment process violated constitutional rights of a 15 year old Native woman from Rapid City.

Gary Hare age 30 of 1345 Maplecrest Marion sustained back injuries and was listed in fair condition at St. Luke's hospital after a two car collision in Alburnett Sunday. His son Timothy and wife Jane also injured and treated at St. Luke's and released. No further details available.
