Immigrant youths learn together in Cedar Rapids summer program
In Cedar Rapids the Catherine McAuley Center runs LIFE, a six week free summer program for refugee youth in middle and high school. Ten families join as parents take adult education classes while children attend LIFE. Both groups focus on health and wellness and share weekly meals and a community garden.
