Beads Business Finds New Home In Iowa City
Dawn Harbor and her husband Paul Harbor run Dawn’s Hide and Bead Away in Iowa City now occupying a 3,200 square foot space at 203 N Linn St beside North Side Book Market. The shop offers over 30,000 bead varieties, in store jewelry, a back studio for classes, and designs for clients, with beadwork and glass bead making taught by the Harbors and guest artists. The couple moved from Washington Street in 1997 after survival of an auto accident and business strain, expanding into a space that supports displays, studio work, and custom jewelry design.
