Government Notes: Linn supervisors fly to attend NACO conference
Linn County Supervisor Jim Houser prefers train or car travel to flying. He and Arleen flew to Hawaii for the NACO conference, choosing a later United flight after Northwest delays. They arrived in Des Moines after 31 hours en route, receiving a $100 travel voucher per ticket. Also: consultants will study Johnson County emergency communications to combine dispatch duties and cut costs.
