William Dickey wins the 1978 Juniper Prize, a $1,000 annual poetry award from the University of Massachusetts Press. His manuscript The Rainbow Grocery will be published this fall. it is his fifth poetry volume. Dickey lives in San Francisco and teaches English and creative writing at San Francisco State University.
