Sinclair plant fire erupts in 40-foot flames
Firefighters battled a suspiciously originated blaze at the Sinclair plant on Third St SE after utilities were shut off. The three story building, vacant since 1990, burned from the second floor while crews knocked down walls and used aerial trucks to reach the seat of the fire. No injuries or evacuations occurred and the city pursues demolition plans for flood damaged structures.
