Honors Given By Women of Iowa Legion Members
Two hundred members of the American Legion auxiliary in Iowa marched at the Memorial Coliseum during the annual convention. The "Ladies in Blue" wore blue uniforms as Mabel Wheeler presented citations for 2000 hours of service to three women, with 1,000 hour and 500 hour awards also handed out. Recipients came from Des Moines and several other cities, including Boone Ottumwa Ottumwa Clinton Marshalltown Council Bluffs and Iowa City. Pages and volunteers were recognized, and a national convention page was named at Friday morning’s close.

Indian Creek club takes both nine and 18 hole matches in the second inter-club women’s golf event. Mrs. Bernard Price of Indian Creek was medalist with 86 for 18 holes.
