Mr and Mrs Charles S Moyer of Tama formerly of Cedar Rapids were injured when their car skidded on wet pavement and overturned on highway 30 five miles east of Tama. Mrs Moyer suffered pelvic injury a fractured hand facial cuts. Mr Moyer brain concussion severe arm bruise hemorrhage and minor injuries. They were returning from Cedar Rapids and are cared for at home. Mr Moyer is board sales manager at Central Fiber Products in the local office.

E L Jackson and Archie Holubar face reckless driving charges after a collision on First Avenue E near the Cedar Park viaduct at 11 30 p m Saturday. Police say Jackson admitted drinking but did not seem intoxicated while Holubar blamed a tire blowout. Both were uninjured and ordered to appear in police court Tuesday at 8 30 a m.
Police in separate Sunday raids arrested George Pirie 52 proprietor of the Magnus Turkish bath and Albert Jacque 37 at the Taft hotel on charges of illegal sale of intoxicating liquor and related offenses. Pirie faced a 500 dollar bond and claimed he sold about 15 pints weekly with permits noted. Jacque allegedly had a pint of state liquor and bond was set at 1500 dollars with prior liquor conviction dates listed.

Three people suffered non life threatening injuries in a 12 45 am crash at Ellis boulevard and G avenue NW. Mrs H B Garrison 55 of 710 Eighth avenue SE broke two left ribs in the collision with a car driven by Claire L Bissonnette 35 of Waterloo. Bissonnette had a cut nose and eye while passenger Melinda Lambert 26 also of Waterloo had a cut lip and bruises. All were treated and discharged from Mercy and St Luke's hospitals. Bissonnette said she did not see the stop sign on Ellis boulevard.
