Heat on U S 61 as Iowa agencies target speeders
Law officers from 18 agencies will issue citations to drivers along 190 miles of U S Highway 61 from Keokuk to Dubuque. More than 120 officers will target speeders reckless drivers and unbuckled riders with laser radar rolling radar and aerial support. Roadblocks will not be used.

Des Moines Doctor Fined Ten Thousand For Spraying Colleagues
Des Moines physician Scott Neff 45 is fined 10000 by the Iowa Board of Medical Examiners and ordered to undergo behavioral evaluation and up to five years of professional probation. He allegedly sprayed two colleagues with a surgical irrigation device during a Mercy Medical Center hip replacement last year. One recipient, Dr. Eric Meek, says bloody liquid struck his face. Neffs attorney says it was saline or water.
