Vanessa Shelton reports 47 year old Richard Osing will become executive director of the Council on Aging Inc. Aug. 11, replacing Marcia Swift who resigned for a Mount Mercy College faculty post. Osing, previously Foundation II executive director and Prudential Life Insurance salesman, returns to human services with a salary of 18500. He aims to pursue grants, drawing on nonprofit leadership experience and his background in ministry focused on elderly programs. He and his wife Joanne reside in Cedar Rapids with five children.
