Monticello man starts heritage design rocking chair firm
Paul Saupe quit a secure data processing job to form Heritage Design and produce an antique swing rocker kit. The kit retails at 198 dollars, needs about six to seven hours to assemble, and Saupe hopes to expand to eight or ten workers while preserving quality. An example chair is shown in Cedar Rapids.

A report from Vinton describes three local boys allegedly breaking into the Lions Field concession stand. They fled after being spotted by Dean Luze, left their bikes behind, and a seven or eight year old appeared ill from heat. No charges were filed. the youths were assigned litter pickup as punishment.
