In San Diego the Kennedy twins aged six were long labeled retarded for speaking only gibberish. Speech therapist Alexa Romain at Children's Hospital identifies their speech as idioglossia or twin talk. The girls understand English and German but neither language, and communicate with each other in a private, untranslatable tongue.
