The Regina school booster club hosts a four day fair with a large outdoor food stand turning a profit based on temperature. Pork loin beef and turkey roasts are planned with a popular chicken and dumplings option and a 100 volunteer staff including cheerleaders and parents. The drive supports sports teams and uniforms with two donations totaling 2800 dollars.
Langston calls Zahn's lawsuit baseless and says the employee feared for her job while denying discussing conduct with Langston. Lawyer Sara Riley brands the claim demeaning and questions why e mails were not sought. Zahn alleges animus tied to re election as board chair. Langston and Linn County deny all allegations. An investigation found the claims inaccurate due to non cooperation from the employee.

The Iowa Lottery adds 350 Casey’s General Stores to its retail base with a 2 million investment for satellite and point of sale equipment. Installation began in mid September and finished by late January. Powerball sales in the year ending June 30 fell over 17 percent from the previous year while other lottery products rose in revenue. Stanek forecast stronger sales with new Powerball form and electronic instant-scratch cards. Since 1985 the lottery has posted about 3.5 billion in sales and awarded 1.9 billion in prizes for state programs.
