Benton County narrows cost for new radio tower building
Benton County supervisors approve buying a used 11 by 28 foot building and a generator for the new radio tower at Franklin intersections for 29 999 dollars. The deal beats original 70 000 dollar estimates, with transport and inspection by CCG Consulting Inc. and Elert and Associates drafting tower equipment specs for fall due. Chief Deputy Randy Forsyth says the purchase saves over half the expected cost while the 50 hour generator and structurally sound building come from North Liberty and Stillwater vendors.
