Iowa meth kingpin Honken faces first death penalty case in 40 years
Dustin Honken and Angela Johnson are charged in a federal case tied to five murders linked to a multistate meth operation. The victims include Greg Nicholson, his girlfriend Lori Duncan, her two daughters Kandi and Amber, and informant Terry DeGeus. Johnson provided damning testimony to a jail informant, yielding maps of graves used as evidence in Honken's trial. The case raises Iowa's high profile death penalty questions though the state has no death penalty.
