Dorothea Fox Longcope former wife of Jesse Livermore, Wall Street operator, won an interlocutory divorce decree from J Walter Longcope of New York. Judge A B Bigler signed the decree noting no children and no community property. The Longcopes married Sept 16 1932 in Nevada and separated last April 23. Mrs Longcope may change her name to Dorothea Livermore.
Berlin dispatch reports Wiki Merkl, leader of the Himalayan Mount Nanga Parbat expedition, dead on the slopes high above base camp. He was last seen immured with a porter near the camp, as word from the expedition indicated.
Chicago authorities report the so called girl in red, Mrs. Anna Sage, denied selling Dillinger out for a reward. The government and Capt Timothy O Neill also disputed that she guided him to the trap. The fate of the informant remains a mystery as police say they had no role in the death of Dillinger.
