Linn County jobless rate hits record high in June
Unemployment in Linn County jumped to 6.6 percent in June the highest since records began in 1958. About 900 manufacturing jobs were cut from May to June and 2,300 since June 1979 as the labor force rose to 91,600 largely due to Westdale Mall openings. Employment stood at 85,500 with 6,100 unemployed this June.
