Juvenile officers questioned an 8 year old Cedar Rapids boy who admitted playing with matches in a panel truck that burned Friday evening behind 1216 21st Ave SW. The truck owned by Bills TV shop was destroyed and a shed at 1216 21st Ave SW sustained damage. The panel truck was parked beside the shed. Police planned to question the other two boys and turn all three over to probation officers.

Harry Huntington Keyes, raised in Cedar Rapids and a former Coe College student, died Saturday in Lakeland Florida. Services are set for Monday. A daughter Dorothy resides in Lakeland. Nephew Alvin G. Keyes of Mt. Vernon received notice of the death.
Charles Henry Leininger died Friday. Funeral services were held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in Turner’s chapel by Rev. Wayne Moquin of the First Lutheran church. Burial is planned for Monday in Arcadia, Nebraska.
Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Cejka of 193 Nineteenth Ave SW will be held Sunday at 2 PM at the Janeba Funeral Home. The Rev Milo Filipi will officiate. Burial will be in Czech National. Friends may call at the funeral home.
Warren Kelley, 38, a former Cedar Rapids resident and postal worker, died Friday in Burbank California where he had lived for seven years. Services will be held Sunday in Burbank at 10 30 a.m.
The Federal Power Commission blocked a 7.6 percent rate increase totaling 10.676 million dollars a year proposed by Northern Natural Gas Co for five months. The change would affect 35 public utilities in Minnesota Iowa Nebraska South Dakota and Kansas that buy gas from Northern Natural. An affiliate Rugby Permian Basin Pipe Line Co. faced a 1 percent hike also suspended. The FPC cited lack of supporting data and will hold hearings and may issue refunds after the suspension period.
Nighttime theft at the King Coin Laundry on 1030 Mt. Vernon Rd SE pried open an automatic coin changer and stole about $75 in quarters and halves. Police were alerted at 7 Saturday morning. the laundromat operates 24 hours.
The Cedar county board of supervisors selects C. B. De Wees Construction Co. of Marion to supply 3,469 tons of crushed rock for surface projects in Pioneer and Fremont townships at a total cost of $5,827.92.
Evelyn Smith sues Cedar Rapids City Lines Inc and two others for 20000 dollars claiming back injuries from a Jan 2 1958 bus collision on Second Avenue at First Street SW. Paul Janda drove the bus and Douglas Welbourne allegedly struck it from the rear.
Mrs. Roenie K. McQuown of Marion pled guilty to shoplifting from three Cedar Rapids stores. Judge Charles Penningroth handed a 60 day suspended sentence.
The will of Cathryn M Forbes who died July 8 1959 named her husband Harcourt G Forbes as executor and sole heir. The Nellie Trum bull will from the same date named son Lora Lee Trumbull as executor. Five children were named as heirs.

Mrs. Willis Kohl aged 63 was found dead from hanging in her McGregor home by her grandson during lunch. An inquest ruled death by self action. she had multiple health issues and recently returned from hospital. Survived by two daughters, a son, and two sisters. body at Thornburg funeral home.
In Moscow a late night toast session sees Khrushchev clink glasses with Nixon and others. They joke about bases, peace, and drinking to talking while touring a California wine exhibit and passing by a fashion show.
Nixon met with Vladimir Matskevich and discussed peace and friendship during a luncheon. Matskevich raised Captive Nations, criticizing the Senate for passing the resolution. Nixon noted differences but stressed respect for Khrushchev’s right to speak and the need for competing ideas. Russian press gave Nixon coverage, yet censorship marred the visit with a shipment of film blocked by customs.
