Linn Junior Red Cross Delegates To Attend Camp

Linn county junior Red Cross delegates Angeline Kadera Mary Ann Peacock Barbara Paradies Meredith Stanard Mar dell Perry Bill Prout and Don Zrudsky will attend a training conference at Clear Lake from July 29 to August 4. The camp is sponsored by Linn county and nine other Iowa chapters under Volunteer Worker Clyde Lindley. Delegates were chosen for leadership and scholastic records to learn Red Cross philosophy and organize chapter and community programs.

Barnes, Art Collector, Dies In Car Crash

Dr Albert C Barnes 78 a self made ar and art collection tycoon died Tuesday after his convertible struck a truck at a highway intersection in Phoenixville Pennsylvania State police said the truck driver Samuel E Ash 30 uninjured Barnes founder of the Barnes Foundation near Merion led the famed collection valued by experts at over 20 million dollars in French modernist paintings and other works.
