Choosing to stay in Bancroft anchors Iowa town’s future
Krista Looft moved to Bancroft in 2012 with her husband Jaimes after a Future Farmers of America scholarship. They started life in Emmetsburg while Krista pursued administration training and Jaimes worked as a diesel mechanic. Jaimes later found work at Dettering Brothers, one of Bancroft’s two farm implement dealers.
