Evidence Supports Big Bang Creation Theory

Three Navy scientists report X-ray survey results from Centaurus A that back the Big Bang model, estimating the universe formed 10 to 12 billion years ago. The study, noted in Science Magazine, contrasts with steady state theory and ties observed infrared background to the Big Bang origin.

Watermelon of 118 Pounds Wins Prize at NC Festival

A watermelon weighing just over 118 pounds won first prize at the 14th annual North Carolina Watermelon Festival in Raleigh. The melon, entered by Ed Weeks of Tarboro, beat its nearest competitor by 35 pounds. John Speedy Adams of the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce won the seed-spitting contest with a 29 foot throw.

Time capsule buried for Boston brick school build

Boston officials buried a time capsule for a 150 year old English public high school, the nation’s oldest non preparatory public high school. Items include a valedictorian address copy a TV dinner and a Bobby Orr Bruins sweatshirt.
