Sherman racing family spans three generations in Iowa
Dale Sherman of Marengo and his son Jason continue a Hawkeye Downs tradition begun with Dale’s father. Jason, a 2021 Hawkeye Downs Hobby Stock Points Champion, handed driving to cousin Matt Petrzelka after a knee injury. Hayden Sherman, Jason’s son, notched heat and feature wins at age 15, as the family promotes the Dirt at the Downs Derby in Hawkeye Downs 100th year celebration.
