Washington reports show President Johnson saying he is disappointed by Senator Fulbright’s claim of an emerging Asian Doctrine. Fulbright accused Johnson and Vice President Humphrey of advocating an openended U.S. role in non communist Asia, provoking a strong White House response. Moyers described Johnson as finding Fulbright’s remarks hard to follow and not justified by facts.

Man Fined 25 After Fairfax to Cedar Rapids Chase
David H. Dennis of 4624 White Pine Drive NE was fined 25 dollars for failing to have his car under control after a high speed pursuit from Fairfax to Cedar Rapids. Mayor Serbousek filed no charges for speeding and reckless driving. case to be heard in Fairfax JP court. Dennis reportedly reached up to 120 mph before losing control on Highway 149. The fine was imposed by Municipal Judge Loren Hullinger Jr.
