makeover planned for Lake Geode in Iowa
Lake Geode, a 174 acre water body west of Burlington, will be drained through a 24 inch bottom pipe this year to remove nutrients and contaminants. The project aims to cut phosphorus and sediment inflow, with dredging and watershed measures totaling 2 to 3 million dollars and a two to three year refill timeline.
